Defensive MVP
Eric Kendricks – LB
If you’re a regular reader of these MVP pieces, odds are that you’re tired of seeing Eric Kendricks‘ name in here. He’s usually the MVP or at least an honorable mention, proving how great of a defender he really is.
Against the Cowboys, Kendricks was a little more exceptional than usual. He still tackled like a machine by bringing down seven Dallas ball-carriers, but when he dropped back into coverage was when he truly shined.
Kendricks had a great interception where he baited Andy Dalton into throwing the ball and then closed in on the ball and made a great play to snag it out of the air. This was the only time Minnesota was able to create a turnover against the Cowboys.
He also made a great play when in coverage against Dallas by stretching out as far as he could in the air to knock the ball away from the anticipated receiver. There seem to be no limits as to what Kendricks can do on defense.
