A big reason why the Vikings lost to the Cowboys was that they couldn’t generate much of a pass rush all game long. Dallas was even rolling with a makeshift offensive line as many of their starters were out. Despite not being at full strength, the Cowboys blockers still allowed Andy Dalton to have plenty of time in the pocket and he was able to hit his talented trio of wide receivers.

A lot of the blame for this lack of pressure has to fall on the shoulders of Ifeadi Odenigbo. This guy was supposed to be the one to take over for Everson Griffen and replace the pressure Minnesota was going to lose with his departure. Odenigbo has been nothing but a major disappointment all season long and he was again in Week 11.

Odenigbo had just one tackle on the day and he spent most of the time laying on the turf as he was hurt multiple times. He didn’t get a sniff of Dalton’s ginger locks and he wasn’t able to get around Dallas’ backup offensive linemen.

Odenigbo is the veteran leader of Minnesota’s defensive ends and it’s a shame he hasn’t been able to step up and at least match the production he had a season ago.

The Vikings defense is going to continue to be disappointing and a major weak spot the remainder of the season unless Odenigbo can start playing with the same fire he did in 2019.
