Kendricks earns another All-Pro selection
It didn’t take very long for Eric Kendricks to find his fit in the Vikings defense. Kendricks was inserted into the starting lineup during the fourth game of his rookie season back in 2015 and he’s had the same role ever since.
The Minnesota linebacker has always been an important part of the team’s defense and last year he elevated his game to a whole new level. Kendricks was rewarded with a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2019 after accumulating 110 tackles, an impressive 12 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
This season, the Vikings linebacker appears on track to earn a second-straight All-Pro selection. In 10 games this year, Kendricks already has 94 tackles to go along with five pass breakups and two interceptions.
Among all inside linebackers in the NFL this season, Kendricks currently ranks third in solo tackles, second in pass breakups, and first in interceptions.
Since he was drafted in 2015, the Minnesota defender has developed into one of the best linebackers in the league. As long as he remains healthy for the rest of the season, Kendricks should be able to add another All-Pro selection to his list of accomplishments.
