The Minnesota Vikings made a couple of roster adjustments ahead of Week 12.

Now that Week 12 is upon the Minnesota Vikings, the team will need to make some adjustments to their roster in order to be prepared for their matchup against the Carolina Panthers due to injuries and unavailability of players.

According to the team’s official injury report, Minnesota will be without offensive lineman Ezra Cleveland, defensive end Jordan Brailford, and tight end Irv Smith Jr. for the upcoming game. Plus, the status of Adam Thielen on the team’s COVID-19 list is still up in the air since he can be activated before the game.

However, this does leave the Minnesota Vikings with a few spots on their roster they can fill in order to be ready for the game. The team announced two transactions on their official Twitter account.

Minnesota seems to enjoy having Andrew DePaola available to be the team’s long snapper since there have been some struggles from usual starter Austin Cutting. He was elevated to the active roster for the team’s Week 12 game but was not officially signed to the team’s 53-man roster.

Like DePaola, tight end Brandon Dillon was elevated as well. He will likely play a part in the Vikings offense behind Kyle Rudolph and Tyler Conklin at tight end and could find snaps on special teams or in some offensive plays. Dillon flashed a few times during the previous preseason and has played in nine total offensive snaps for Minnesota in the last two seasons.

Hopefully, the Minnesota Vikings can get Cleveland and Smith back soon. The offense seems to be better with these two young individuals on the football field and the team could use all the help they can get if they want to try to make a playoff push for the 2020 NFL season.
