What did we learn about the Minnesota Vikings following their victory over the Carolina Panthers?
Typically, the Minnesota Vikings are not on the winning side of a game like the one that went down inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday.
Usually, it’s the Vikings breaking out their history of bad luck and getting their heart broken during the final seconds of a matchup. But in their Week 12 game against the Carolina Panthers, Minnesota was the team that actually had luck on their side.
After watching Panthers kicker Joey Slye send a field goal attempt wide of the uprights, the Vikings left the field with their fifth victory of the 2020 season after successfully pulling off an 11-point comeback in the fourth quarter.
With the win, Minnesota is still alive in the hunt for a spot in this year’s NFC playoff bracket. The Vikings being in their current position is pretty astonishing since they began the year with losses in five of their first six games.
Now winners in four of their last five matchups, Minnesota is focused on earning their first back-to-back postseason berth since the 2009 season.
