3 former Vikings on track to make the Pro Bowl this season
By Adam Patrick
Stefon Diggs – WR (Buffalo Bills)
In his first NFL season not in a Vikings uniform, things are going pretty well for Stefon Diggs. With the Bills this year, Diggs quickly emerged as the team’s top receiving target.
In 11 games with Buffalo this season, the former Minnesota receiver has hauled in 80 passes for 945 yards and four touchdowns. Diggs currently ranks second in the NFL in catches and sixth in the league in receiving yards.
The former Vikings pass-catcher is on pace to shatter his single-season career records for receptions (102) and receiving yards (1,130). As long as he remains healthy during the next five weeks, he shouldn’t have any trouble setting these new career marks.
Surprisingly, Diggs has actually never been voted to the Pro Bowl during his time in the NFL. Despite putting up impressive numbers during his tenure with Minnesota, it never resulted in him earning a Pro Bowl selection.
With the way Diggs is playing this year, however, his streak of non-Pro Bowl campaigns should come to an end.
