5 Bold Predictions: Minnesota Vikings vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – Week 13
By Chris Schad
The Minnesota Vikings face the rebuilding Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13, but will this resemble another trap in the way of their playoff push?
The Minnesota Vikings played their best football of the 2020 season in the month of November. Coming into the month as a 1-5 team, the Vikings rattled off wins in four of their last five games and they enter Sunday’s matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars just one game behind the Arizona Cardinals for the final playoff spot in the NFC.
Minnesota seems to be peaking at the right time, but that is not the case for their opponents. After pulling off an upset victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, the Jaguars haven’t visited the win column since.
After recently firing general manager Dave Caldwell, Jacksonville appears to be a team on the verge of a full house cleaning that includes head coach Doug Marrone.
This should make Sunday’s game at U.S. Bank Stadium an easy one for the Vikings. Then again, nothing has been easy in 2020.
Minnesota has scored some big victories as of late, but they are still capable of having a let down at any moment. If the Vikings don’t take guys like DJ Chark and James Robinson seriously, they could be on the verge of a meltdown similar to the one against a winless Atlanta Falcons team in Week 6.
What are some of the things that could go down during the matchup between the Vikings and the Jaguars on Sunday inside U.S. Bank Stadium?
