Dan Bailey – K

Before Week 13, Dan Bailey had been pretty steady for the majority of the 2020 season. Bailey had missed only two field goals and one extra point heading into Sunday’s game against the Jags. But those percentages took a nosedive on Sunday.

Bailey missed his first extra-point attempt and later on in the matchup, he missed another. He then had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation, but he completely shanked his attempt. It was a long kick from 51 yards out, but it should still be well within his range, and his attempt wasn’t even close.

The points left on the field gave the Jaguars life and it was a big reason why they were able to get back into the game. If Bailey had hit those point-after attempts, the Vikings would’ve been able to pull away and Jacksonville wouldn’t have had the chance to score eight points and tie the game late in the fourth quarter.

There’s absolutely no excuse for Bailey to miss those extra points and if Mike Zimmer gets his way, Minnesota might just start going for two every time they cross the goal line.

Bailey needs to figure out what went wrong last week and quickly rectify it. The Vikings aren’t a team that can give away easy points and consistently win games, even though they got lucky this time.
