Game 2:

Arizona Cardinals at New York Giants

  • Game Time: Sunday, 12:00 pm CT (FOX)
  • Who Needs to Win: Giants

Sadly, this is a game that Vikings fans likely won’t be able to watch unless they have a picture-in-picture television because they will already be watching the game between Minnesota and Tampa Bay.

Arizona is nipping at the heels of the Vikings and is sitting just outside the NFC playoff picture. Their 6-6 record matches Minnesota’s right now and a victory could vault them past the Vikings in the standings or at least keep pace with them heading into next week.

The good news is that the Giants are coming off a game in which they looked the best they have all season. New York went on the road last week and stunned the Seattle Seahawks, holding their offense to only 12 points on the day.

Minnesota fans should be hoping that the Giants can keep this momentum going and knock off Arizona in what could be a competitive game. If this happens, then it will help the chances of the Vikings being in the playoffs.
