How did the Minnesota Vikings fare in the latest power rankings after their Week 13 win?

That was too close. The Minnesota Vikings gave their fans a major scare last Sunday when they struggled to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars. The game needed overtime to find an ending and thankfully it was a purple and gold field-goal that sealed the victory.

A win over the Jaguars and a loss by the Arizona Cardinals last week moved the Vikings into the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC, allowing Minnesota to control their own destiny for the time being. However, a tough schedule could make that a bigger challenge than it sounds.

The victory over Jacksonville is one that was expected, so the Vikings’ struggle to put them away might have left experts with a sour taste in their mouths instead of viewing them as a team that has saved their season enough to get their record to .500 for the first time this year.

Let’s take a look at where the experts have placed Minnesota in their weekly power rankings heading into Week 14 when the team will face another challenge in Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
