Are the experts right about the Vikings this week?

There is a weird theme among some of the commentary from experts in their power rankings this week. Some say the Vikings are lucky and others say they beat up on bad teams. There is even some blame for the Cardinals’ struggles as the reason why Minnesota is sneaking into the playoff picture.

One thing that isn’t seen as much is crediting this young Vikings defense for making some significant improvements and working with what they have available despite injuries and player unavailability. Jeff Gladney looks like a rising star for Minnesota and playing without Eric Kendricks makes the team look considerably different.

Despite that, there will always be that voice in the back of everyone’s mind. Are the Vikings actually good? Can they clean up their mistakes going forward? And will they be able to beat other playoff-caliber teams?

Until those questions can be answered, this team doesn’t deserve to move up in the power rankings. Thankfully, Minnesota will be tested in Week 14 by the Buccaneers and Tom Brady will always be a good test for any team, especially one with a young cornerback group.

Experts will know more after this week.

Where do you think the Vikings deserve to be placed in the national power rankings heading into Week 14? And which expert makes the best point? Let us know your opinions in the comment section.
