Attack the wide areas

If there is one weakness on the Buccaneers’ defense, it’s at the cornerback position. The Minnesota Vikings could get some real joy if they attack the outside in the passing game, which has been Tampa Bay’s undoing on more than one occasion this season.

Fortunately for the Vikings, they have two stud wideouts who can cause some significant problems. Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen have both been at the top of their respective games in 2020 and it would be a big surprise if the duo didn’t put up big numbers if the necessary targets come their way.

Jefferson looks well on course for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year after another sensational outing against the Jaguars in Week 13. He is the first Vikings’ rookie receiver to go over 1,000-yards since Randy Moss and the former LSU standout’s route-running ability is already at an elite level.

Having Thielen on the opposite side of the field has definitely helped the first-year-pro reach the heights he has. The Pro Bowler continues to be one of the NFL’s most reliable pass-catchers and it doesn’t appear as if Tampa Bay’s secondary will be any sort of match for the tandem providing they are put in the right sort of positions to succeed.
