Dan Bailey has been struggling badly lately and he is one player who definitely belongs on the naughty list for his play on the field. He is also one of the few players the Vikings can point to for directly causing the team a loss. He left 10 points off the board in Minnesota’s Week 14 loss to the Bucs as he missed every single kick he attempted.

Bailey just isn’t right in the head right now and it is pretty surprising that he is still with the Vikings after his performances the last couple of weeks. It is one thing if the game against the Bucs was just a fluke, but he also missed three kicks against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13 that almost caused the team to lose that game.

While many believe since Bailey has been a solid kicker for most of his career, that he just needs to work through this rough patch. The truth is Minnesota simply doesn’t have time for that. They are in the final weeks of a playoff push and if they are going to leave points off the board, they’ll be sitting at home in January.

Bailey’s struggles are a tough thing to watch and seeing him sulk off the field for the last few weeks was brutal. As sad as that sight was, the fact is, he is a professional and is paid a lot of money to do his job and make those kicks. He has failed at that, and that has gotten him on the top of Santa’s naughty list.
