Minnesota will give their fans coal with a Christmas loss
In the year 2005, the Vikings were in the midst of a playoff push. With their chances of a postseason berth on the line, Minnesota traveled to Baltimore to try to get a win over the Ravens on Christmas night.
Unfortunately, the Brad Johnson-led Vikings came up just short and a younger version of myself thought “this is the worst Christmas gift ever.”
Flash forward 15 years later and the stage is set again. Minnesota will be going up against a team that is trying to fight for a bye in the first round of the postseason. They’ll also face a team that they’ve bounced from the playoffs twice in the past three years in excruciating fashion.
Long story short, the Saints aren’t going to be filled with holiday cheer when the Vikings hit the field on Friday.

6 QBs the Vikings could groom to be their future starter
Which quarterbacks could the Minnesota Vikings add during the 2021 offseason develop into becoming their starter under center?
When you mix in the overall talent that New Orleans has on their roster, it just doesn’t result in the Vikings having a good chance to win this game. Hence, Minnesota will have to take their coal this year and hope that their failures in 2020 can produce a diamond in the rough next season.
Prediction: Saints 31, Vikings 14
