What did we learn from the Minnesota Vikings loss to the Saints in Week 16?

Week 16 of the 2020 NFL season is in the books for the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints and the Christmas Day game didn’t go at all the way that fans of the purple and gold were hoping that it would.

The outcome of Friday’s game saw the purple and gold take a big loss at the hands of the Saints by a score of 33-52. Now with a 6-9 record, Minnesota has officially been eliminated of any chance of making the playoffs this season and now shift their attention to the 2021 NFL Draft.

After watching the performance the Vikings put on against the Saints, it s probably nice to think about something else. Even with the Detroit Lions coming up in Minnesota’s final game of the season, it can be hard to cheer for the team knowing the game will only impact draft positioning or momentum heading into the offseason.

This game was a bit of a depressing one, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some things to be learned from this Christmas Day shellacking. Here are some takeawys from the Week 16 game betwen the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints.
