The Worst

The story is over. At one time, it looked as though the Minnesota Vikings were going to overcome their early struggles and claim a spot in the playoffs. Now, that kind of optimism is dead thanks to three consecutive losses late in the season.

Starting the season by only winning one of their first six games set the tone for a massively disappointing season. Then, there was a shift and the team started winning. Minnesota won five of their next six games to bring them to a 6-6 record and within striking distance of the postseason.

But even with numerous positives on offense and defense, the team crumbled down the home stretch. The Vikings dropped their next three games in disappointing fashion, bringing them to their current 6-9 record.

Now, the focus of Minnesota Vikings fans is no longer the playoffs since they were eliminated with this loss to the Saints. The new thing to watch is the 2021 NFL Draft order, and that is always sad to be talking about before the end of the regular season.
