C Garrett Bradbury

The Vikings‘ offensive line has been a major problem the last handful of games and just about every week has a player landing on this disappointing list. While there are about three or four linemen we could name here, the one that gets the spotlight today is center Garrett Bradbury.

For the majority of the season, Bradbury had been one of the few strengths on the Vikings’ offensive line. He is exceptional at getting down the field and to the second level on screenplays and Dalvin runs and was anchoring much better against big nose guards in his second year. In recent games, the interior of the Vikings line has been extremely shaky and leaky and has forced Kirk Cousins to have to run for his life about every third passing attempt, and Bradbury has been a part of that.

Bradbury was overpowered many times against the Saints. He was pushed right back into Cousins’ lap, giving the quarterback no choice but to yield and take the sack. Bradbury was a huge liability and his performance against the Saints was very reminiscent of his rookie season when he struggled constantly in this area.

Hopefully, this was just a bad game for Bradbury and not a sign that he’s regressing. The Vikings need him to continue to become not just a great run blocker but be that guy who can stand tall and hold off the pressure coming up the middle.
