Bubba Bolden – S (Miami)

Anthony Harris probably won’t be around in 2021, so the safety position will be one of the top priorities for the Vikings during the upcoming offseason. They don’t have much in the way of financial resources available to spend big in free agency, but the incoming batch of college recruits could be special if they reach their ceiling.

Bubba Bolden falls into this category. He is a versatile presence on the backend that has absolutely no trouble moving up to the second level to assist in run support and considering he hasn’t played much football, his ability to make plays is eye-catching.

However, there are some off-the-field concerns. Bolden recently faced a lengthy ban due to underage drinking at an off-campus party and the prospect also dealt with a serious ankle injury in 2019.

Baron Browning – LB (Ohio State)

One only has to look at how much the Vikings have struggled without their All-Pro linebacker Eric Kendricks this season to know that a better primary backup is needed. This would ensure the defense could at least be competitive if the prolific veteran is forced to miss any more time moving forward.

Baron Browning comes from an accomplished program in Ohio State that prides itself on getting its players ready for the next level. He is an athletic sideline-to-sideline presence that has no trouble generating pressure if needed and there is every chance the prospect can get even better with more in the way of competitive reps.
