Vikings prove there’s truth to all rumors
It wasn’t something that many believed could happen, but Minnesota actually made the decision to trade star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills last March.
Diggs was unhappy with his role in the Vikings offense and he felt that sticking around wouldn’t be the best idea for his career in the NFL.
Minnesota repeatedly said they had no intention to trade the talented receiver during the months leading up to the deal. But the Bills obviously presented an offer that the Vikings could not turn down.

Minnesota gets “Griddy”
In return for sending Stefon Diggs to Buffalo, the Vikings received an additional first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. With this selection, Minnesota went ahead and used the pick on former LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
No one was expecting Jefferson to come in and immediately replace Diggs’ production in the Vikings offense, but few could have predicted how well the rookie has performed during his first season in the Twin Cities.
So not only was Minnesota able to replace Diggs in their offense this year, but they might have ended up with a receiver in Jefferson who could turn out to be even better than the guy who used to wear No. 14 for the Vikings.
