What was the best and worst from the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17 vs. the Lions?

No NFL game is meaningless. Even if there is no chance of either team making the playoffs and the only implications from the outcome is draft positioning, the game between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions meant quite a bit to the players on the field after a disappointing season.

The Vikings were able to get the win on the road and finish their season on a high note with a 7-9 record. They defeated the Lions at Ford Field by a final score of 37-35. Meanwhile, Detroit fell to 5-11 and will have an early pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

With the 2020 NFL season in the books for the Vikings, Minnesota can spend the offseason loading talent onto a roster that should get many of its key players back to make Minnesota a possible contender again.

That said, there were some really good and really bad things to take away from the Minnesota Vikings during their Week 17 game against the Detroit Lions. Let’s start it off with the best thing about Sunday’s season finale.
