Where will the Minnesota Vikings free agents end up this offseason?

For the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFL, the 2021 free agency period won’t officially begin until March. Despite this still being a good amount of time away, it doesn’t mean that the Vikings shouldn’t start thinking about what roster moves they might make during free agency.

Currently, Minnesota isn’t projected to have a ton of salary cap space when the new league year begins in March. However, the Vikings still have plenty of time to generate some additional spending money by parting ways with some of their overpriced veteran players.

15 players from Minnesota’s 2020 roster are scheduled to become free agents this year. 10 of these guys are unrestricted free agents, four are restricted free agents, and one is an exclusive rights free agent.

Luckily for the Vikings, this year’s group of players with expiring contracts doesn’t feature a significant amount of notable contributors. None of the possible departures should have an impact on Minnesota’s chance for success in 2021.

So let’s get into which players from the 2020 Vikings are scheduled to hit free agency this year and let’s see if we can predict where some of them might land.
