Rashod Hill – OL

No, this is not a way of saying that Rashod Hill should be considered a starter for Minnesota’s offensive line in the future. But if they can keep him around for the 2021 season as a swing tackle and versatile lineman, it could be a great investment.

There will be changes on the Minnesota offensive line this year. The Vikings need to make upgrades on the interior of the line and they have a big decision to make during the next few weeks about Riley Reiff and his 2021 cap hit of more than $13 million.

Hill didn’t need to play a lot in 2020, but he did fill in at a couple of spots due to injury, and he started in the team’s regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions. Having him available again would be a nice backup plan for any offensive linemen who don’t perform well for Minnesota next season.

In 2020, Hill’s cap hit was less than $1 million, and having him return for approximately that price would be a great move for the Vikings when it comes to the salary cap and keeping some kind of floor for the status of the offensive line.
