Which free agents might the Minnesota Vikings target this offseason with their little spending money?

When the 2021 free agency period officially begins for the Minnesota Vikings in March, they’re not expected to be among the teams that will be signing some of the top players on the market.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, most are anticipating the NFL’s salary cap to decrease this year for the first time since 2011. If the cap is set at $176 million like OverTheCap.com has predicted, then the Vikings will need to make some tough decisions just to avoid being in the red when the new league year begins in March.

Because of this, Minnesota will likely need to get creative and target some of the less expensive free agents this offseason. Luckily for the Vikings, they don’t have a ton of giant holes on their roster to fill this year.

Minnesota should still be able to improve the depth of their roster this offseason even if they aren’t swimming in spending money. So who are some of the more affordable free agents that the Vikings might sign to help them get back to the playoffs in the 2021 season?
