How might the first five rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft shake out for the Minnesota Vikings?

It’s early February and the groundhog has already seen its shadow so that means one thing, it’s mock draft season. The Minnesota Vikings will pick in the first half of this year’s NFL Draft as their 7-9 record netted them the 14th overall choice.

The Vikings have plenty of areas they need to address in the draft with holes on defense, and a few on the offensive side of the ball as well.

Minnesota’s pass rush needs to get better, as does their pass protection, and the team probably needs to find a potential replacement for Anthony Harris at safety. This could be a draft that might not feature the Vikings making a lot of exciting picks, but they will be crucial ones as the team isn’t expected to have a ton of cap space this offseason. So the draft will likely be Minnesota’s best chance to improve their roster this year.

The Vikings currently have eight choices in the first five rounds of the 2021 draft and they could have even more once the compensatory picks are handed out. Minnesota general manager Rick Spielman and his scouting department will be very busy in the mid-rounds this year and they will likely wheel and deal as they have in years past.

So how might the first five rounds of the 2021 draft look for the Vikings without any trades or compensatory selections factored in?
