Which players decided to sign elsewhere in free agency instead of the Minnesota Vikings in the recent past?

A month from today, the 2021 free agency period will officially begin for the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFL. The Vikings aren’t expected to be major players this year, but they will still likely meet with a few veteran free-agents that could help them during the 2021 season.

During the recent past, Minnesota has had a little more cap space to work with, and it resulted in them pursuing some pretty high-priced free agents.

A number of the Vikings’ top contributors from the last few seasons were added to the team’s roster through free agency, including Linval Joseph, Terence Newman, and Latavius Murray. During the last few years, there have also been plenty of players that met with Minnesota during the free agency period but were unable to agree to a contract.

Who are some of these guys from the recent past that appeared to be close to joining the Vikings, but then chose to sign with a different team instead?
