Christian Barmore – DT (Alabama)

Christian Barmore has been a popular mock pick to the Vikings even at pick No. 14, and one who would make a ton of sense for the team. The Vikings need an interior disruptor and that is what Barmore does. He’s not an exceptional athlete but he has plenty of strength that he uses to push blockers deep into the backfield causing disruption.

Barmore also has a knack for swatting down passes at the line and that is something that the Vikings’ defense sorely lacked a season ago. This guy took over in the National Championship game and made play after play that helped the Crimson Tide get out to such a big lead. Barmore’s career stat line speaks for itself with his 63 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for a loss, and 10 sacks. He’s basically a perfect fit for the Vikings.

While taking Barmore at pick No. 14 wouldn’t be a reach, he’s potentially someone the team could land a few spots down the board. If a quarterback like Mac Jones is still on the board a team like the Washington Football team could look to jump ahead of the Patriots to get him. The Minnesota Vikings could potentially get their second-round pick back by moving down to the nineteenth choice and still be able to land the guy they would’ve taken at pick No. 14.
