Dallas Cowboys

Despite their lack of success in the 21st century, suiting up for the Cowboys has remained a bit of an attraction for some of the top players available in free agency each year. They’re practically treated like royalty in the state of Texas, so it’s not hard to understand why.

If Anthony Harris shares this desire to play for Dallas, they could be in need of his services. Xavier Woods has kept the job as one of the Cowboys’ two starting safeties during the last three seasons, but he’s a free agent this year. If Woods doesn’t re-sign with Dallas, Harris could be someone they attempt to bring in as his replacement.

In addition to the Cowboys possibly having a need at safety, they also have someone on their coaching staff who is very familiar with the abilities of Harris as former Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards is currently a senior defensive assistant with Dallas.

If Woods is out the door and Edwards thinks Harris is someone who can fit in well with the team’s defense, then the veteran safety might be wearing a star on his helmet next season.
