Danielle Hunter – DE

There are few players on the Vikings’ current roster that have more questions surrounding them than Danielle Hunter. Coming off a year where he sat out the entire season due to a neck injury, there have been rumors going around that Hunter wants to get paid more.

Since he hasn’t played in a whole year though, some believe Minnesota will wait until the end of the 2021 season to renegotiate the defensive end’s current contract. Which is understandable since the Vikings would probably like to see if he’s any better or worse after sitting out a season.

Hunter doesn’t seem like someone who would hold out for more money, but there’s a chance that he might not be too thrilled with Minnesota’s decision to wait until offering him a higher salary. Things could get ugly and the young pass rusher could choose to stay off the field until he gets the money he’s looking for.

If the Vikings are unwilling to pay him this year, or their offers are too low for Hunter to agree to, the team might look into trading him for an early-round draft pick or two before next season’s deadline.
