The Minnesota Vikings need depth at wide receiver and free agency could be a great way to pick up some talent.

There is no debating that Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson are quite an effective wide receiver duo for the Minnesota Vikings. Thielen set a career-high in touchdown catches while Jefferson broke the NFL record for receiving yards by a rookie.

Sadly, past them on the roster, there isn’t a lot of depth. There was hope that Bisi Johnson would emerge as a solid No. 3 option, but with him failing to step up and guys like Chad Beebe not separating from the rest, it became obvious that more talent is needed at the position.

A scary fact is that the Vikings had a total of 349 passes caught during the 2020 season and of all of those, only 34 were caught by a wide receiver not named Thielen or Jefferson while the tight ends and running backs racked up quite a few receptions.

With Minnesota expected to have a low amount of salary cap space this year, it would likely be a struggle to bring in one of the top-tier free-agent receivers like Allen Robinson, JuJu Smith-Schuster, or T.Y. Hilton.

However, there are still many talented pass-catchers available in free agency this offseason who could contribute in 2021 and not break the bank.

Who are six of the best options that the Vikings could realistically pursue this offseason to help out the offense?
