John Ross

It is no secret that John Ross was very unhappy with the Bengals. He publically requested a trade before the deadline last season, but Cincinnati declined that request, and instead, he was placed on injured reserve after experiencing a foot injury in practice.

Ross might be onto something with his unhappiness. during his four seasons, he was never targeted more than 60 times and he only broke 500 yards once despite averaging 14.4 yards per reception. He was also a healthy scratch during games where he could contribute

The speed and shifty nature of Ross would make him an interesting fit for Minnesota. It could help to open up plays underneath and allow Justin Jefferson and Adam Theilen to show off their ability to pick up yards after the catch.

It shouldn’t be too tough to keep Ross happy in Minnesota since there isn’t a lot of competition in terms of wide receiver depth on the Vikings roster. Of course, that does mean the purple and gold may want to wait until after the 2021 NFL Draft to pick up a wide receiver so they know what kind of share they would have to offer.
