When putting this list together, it was not intentional to include two former Jaguars and two former Bengals players. However, Mike Thomas could be precisely the kind of player the Vikings swoop up with a league-minimum contract to compete for a role on the team.

If your mind has you thinking about Saints pass-catcher Michael Thomas, you will have to forget that really quickly. This receiver only has 276 yards and one career touchdown catch in his five NFL seasons.

Of course, his career hasn’t given him a lot of opportunities to prove himself. In limited action, Thomas has only had the ball thrown his way 42 times and he has hauled in 23 of those. He has a nice release off the snap that could make him a good low-cost player to rent and evaluate this season.

Thomas is a player who could be on the rise. The Bengals were able to give a little glimpse of his potential when Joe Burrow was throwing him the ball, but a consistent quarterback and a dynamic offense could do wonders for his development.
