Third Round (Pick No. 91)

Deonte Brown – OG (Alabama)

Even though the Vikings weren’t able to get their second-round pick back from the Ngakoue trade, they were able to recover a third-round selection from the Baltimore Ravens that the team should be able to get some decent value from during the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Vikings’ needs on offense aren’t numerous, but unless some players like Riley Reiff or Kyle Rudolph are cap casualties, there aren’t many holes that need to be filled. That means looking toward depth and competition.

No place needs more depth and competition than the interior of the offensive line. Minnesota can’t be happy with many of the players who filled in last season, so bringing in another high-potential blocker to fight for a job would be a wise move.

Deonte Brown is just the kind of fighter the Vikings need. He doesn’t seem to be getting enough respect for his excellent play at Alabama. Maybe his massive size at 6-foot-5 and 350-pounds scares people, but having a gigantic individual to come in and move some bodies around would be a nice change.

Plus, wouldn’t it be kind of neat to potentially have two players named Cleveland on the offensive line?

If the Vikings were to draft only offensive players during the 2021 NFL Draft, which individuals would you want to see the team select? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
