There is a lot to like about the sort of ability Larry Ogunjobi brings to the table. He might be a little raw in terms of technique despite being in the league for the last four years, but his athleticism is something that really sets the defensive tackle apart on occasions.

Ogunjobi played a significant role in the Cleveland Browns finally getting back to the playoffs in 2020. He provided fierce resistance on the interior and took up enough space for the likes of Myles Garrett to cause havoc on the outside.

Former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski won’t want the player to leave in free agency, but they only have around $20.2 million in free salary-cap space currently. This would mean extending Ogunjobi to the sort of deal he’s after would be difficult.

Depending on what the veteran is after money-wise, it could be a shrewd move by the Vikings to bring him on board.

Ogunjobi has amassed 14.5 sacks over his short career to date. Should he end up in Minnesota, the tackle would have another prominent pass-rushing weapon on the edge to work alongside in Danielle Hunter and the 2017 third-round pick does appear to be a nice scheme fit from the outside looking in.

Money might be the biggest issue when it comes to recruiting Ogunjobi. But the benefits are there for all to see.
