Adam Humphries – WR

2020 Team: Tennessee Titans

Before the start of the 2021 season, the Vikings need to figure out who is going to be the third wide receiver on their depth chart in addition to their need to find a new punt returner.

Adam Humphries is someone who can fill both of these roles. Undrafted out of Clemson in 2015, Humphries has been able to remain in the NFL for the last six years.

The first four seasons of his career were spent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and during three of those years, he finished with at least 55 catches. He went on to sign with the Tennessee Titans in 2019 and unfortunately, his production experienced a significant decrease during the last two seasons with them.

Despite still having two years left on his contract, the Titans decided to release the veteran receiver recently, and now he’s available to sign with any team in the league. Should Minnesota be interested in adding Humphries to their roster?

If the Vikings believe a change of scenery is what he needs to get back to producing like he did when he was with the Bucs, then it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to consider signing him this year.
