2020 Team: Atlanta Falcons

After sticking around for another season, Anthony Harris not returning to the Vikings this year seems pretty much guaranteed. Harris has the potential to get a nice chunk of change from some other team this offseason and Minnesota likely won’t be able to afford the amount of money he’ll be looking to earn.

So if he’s out the door, then the Vikings should consider bringing in a veteran safety with starting experience before the 2021 campaign begins.

Ricardo Allen is a guy who was recently let go by the Falcons after seven years with the franchise. Allen has started 76 games during the last six seasons, so he’s got the experience Minnesota should be looking for in a free-agent safety this year.

At 5-foot-9 and 186 pounds, he is a little smaller than Mike Zimmer typically likes the Vikings’ safeties to be. But if his size isn’t an issue and Zimmer thinks Allen can get the job done, then they should give him a call.
