6 QBs that only lasted one season with the Minnesota Vikings

Kelly Holcomb – 2007
The 2007 NFL season will always be remembered as the season Adrian Peterson came to the Minnesota Vikings. The quarterback play, on the other hand, was largely forgettable with Kelly Holcomb being a part of that strange situation.
Tavaris Jackson led the Vikings in nearly every passing category that year, but Holcomb filled in for three games after being traded from the Eagles to Minnesota for a sixth-round pick. Those three games weren’t exactly great, as the team dropped all three.
Holcomb finished his purple and gold career with 42 completions for 515 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Most of that damage was done in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers, where he threw for 258 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
2007 ended up being the final season Kelly Holcomb would play in the NFL, as he announced his retirement in 2008. Still, it’s interesting to note that Adrian Peterson had to deal with Jackson and Holcomb as a welcoming to the NFL.
