Which free-agent defensive ends could end up signing with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason?

During the majority of Miike Zimmer’s tenure as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, the team’s pass rush has been among the best in the NFL. But in 2020, this certainly was not the case.

With no Everson Griffen, Linval Joseph, or Danielle Hunter on the field last season, the Vikings experienced significant struggles when it came to pressuring the opposing quarterback. Minnesota finished the 2020 campaign with an embarrassing 23 sacks, their lowest total ever since the league began to officially keep track of sacks in 1982.

The good news for the Vikings is that Hunter is expected to return to the field for them in 2021, along with Michael Pierce. He isn’t really known for his pass-rushing abilities, but the attention Pierce will get from blockers should help free up Minnesota defenders during their efforts to bring down the opposing passer.

Even with Hunter returning, the Vikings could still be interested in adding a defensive end or two from this year’s pool of free agents. Who are some of these free-agent pass rushers Minnesota might end up signing this offseason?
