Sixth Round (Pick No. 199)

Joshua Kaindoh – EDGE (Florida State)

As was the case for why the Vikings added another defensive tackle in the fourth round, the team’s defensive line really cannot have enough new additions after the poor performance from the position group in 2021.

Joshua Kaindoh is a unique pass rusher given the fact that he measures in at 6-foot-7. He’s got some promising aspects of his game that Minnesota defensive coordinator Andre Patterson might be able to help him utilize on a more consistent basis.

Sixth Round (Pick No. 223)

K.J. Costello – QB (Mississippi State)

Last year, the Vikings took a chance on a quarterback prospect on the third day of the draft, and they’ll do the same during the 2021 draft.

Costello is not someone who is going to blow you away with his passing skills, but he would certainly be an upgrade for Minnesota at backup quarterback if they’re willing to let him compete for the role.

Seventh Round (Pick No. 236)

Tuf Borland – LB (Ohio State)

Hard to imagine this will be the only pick in the seventh round the Vikings will make this year when all is said and done.

But with their final selection in the 2021 draft, Minnesota goes with Tuf Borland, a guy who can potentially help improve the team’s punt and kickoff coverage units as a rookie.
