4 veterans the Vikings should target in third wave of free agency

Larry Fitzgerald – WR
2020 Team: Arizona Cardinals
This is the fairytale ending that Larry Fitzgerald deserves. The young hopeful, who was once a ball boy for the Vikings at training camp, has gone on to have a career worthy of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and if this ends where the dreams began, what a story it would be.
There is some doubt as to whether Fitzgerald is going to play in 2021 or not. The Arizona Cardinals seem to be moving on from the wide receiver regardless of his final decision, and after spending his entire career with the team, it would be strange to see him suit up anywhere else.
Besides Minnesota, that is.
Fitzgerald is a well-known Vikings fan who grew up idolizing the likes of Cris Carter and Randy Moss when Minnesota’s offense electrified the league. The current offense is in desperate need of a true No. 3 receiver to put alongside Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson, so bringing the 11-time Pro Bowler to the franchise is not outside the realm of possibility.
It all depends on how much Fitzgerald wants it at this point. He has given absolutely everything for a team that’s struggled more often than not. But the prospect of finishing his time on the gridiron in the Vikings’ purple and gold is sure to be an enticing one for the receiver.
