If the Vikings are looking for a bit more bang for their buck during the 2021 NFL Draft, then someone with the upside of Olaijah Griffin is worth a look. The USC star has risen in stature with every passing year with the Trojans after making the transition from quarterback, which has proved to be the making of him in no uncertain terms.

Griffin plays every down as if it’s his last. He is a fierce competitor with a will to win that inspires others around him. He also possesses a real willingness to get involved in run support, which is another big potential impact that shouldn’t be overlooked.

The main area where Griffin performed well in college was during press coverage situations on the outside. This will be a little more difficult to accomplish against bigger receivers in the NFL who will undoubtedly punish every mistake at the next level. But there is a lot to like about the player’s intelligence and potential to progress further.

There are some injury concerns that need to be checked out where Griffin is concerned. However, this could end up being a high-value selection for the Vikings and one that could reap some impressive rewards down the line.
