Which NFL Draft prospects could be late-round options for the Minnesota Vikings?

The Minnesota Vikings will never avoid the question of drafting a quarterback to either back up Kirk Cousins or eventually replace him in the purple and gold. That speculation has not been silent this year by any means but things have slowed down since the Vikings locked themselves into the 14th overall selection, out of the range of the top gunslingers.

But the draft extends far beyond the first round and for this specific piece, quarterbacks could be on the radar all throughout the seven rounds. Instead of looking at the Kyle Trask and Kellen Mond hype, let’s consider some even deeper finds for the Vikings to develop under center.

Nate Stanley and Jake Browning have both found their way to the Vikings despite not being high draft picks and that formula tends to work in the NFL. Drafting late-round quarterbacks to have extra bodies in camp and practice can come in handy at some point down the line.

No, I’m not expecting anyone to have a Tom Brady-like impact at the next level but there are guys with experience that can stick on the practice squad or even as the QB3 for a while. That said, which prospects in this draft class could be solid finds for the Vikings on Day 3?
