Fourth Round

  • Jaylen Twyman – DT (Pittsburgh)
  • Dazz Newsome – WR (North Carolina)
  • Brady Christensen – OT (BYU)
  • Benjamin St-Juste – CB (Minnesota)
  • James Wiggins – S (Cincinnati)

The Vikings have an embarrassment of riches in the fourth round, boasting no fewer than four picks to boost their roster. This gives them a real luxury of taking the best player available at this juncture and if they like someone who is falling in the third round, they have the capital to move up and acquire them.

The arrival of Dalvin Tomlinson from the New York Giants in free agency gives Michael Pierce a formidable partner at defensive tackle. Minnesota could use some additional depth behind the starting duo and Jaylen Twyman represents someone who could be a real force to be reckoned with from the word go, providing there isn’t a great deal of pressure put on the Pittsburgh product too early.

Getting another wide receiver from a deep class to put alongside Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson is also crucial at some stage during the draft. Someone like North Carolina‘s Dazz Newsome can line up anywhere on the field and has all the tools needed to potentially be a real steal in the fourth round.

Adding cornerback Benjamin St-Juste would be popular after the prospect starred at Minnesota during his career. Adding some safety depth in the form of James Wiggins is another potential option that might be available, with Brady Christensen possessing enough capability to play either tackle or guard at the next level.
