Which current free agents who used to play for the Minnesota Vikings won’t be returning to the Twin Cities for the 2021 season?

Last week around this time, the Minnesota Vikings were in the middle of figuring out which prospects they should attempt to add to their roster during the 2021 NFL Draft.

Once the draft was complete last Saturday, the Vikings had 11 new players on their roster. Even without a seventh-round pick, Minnesota’s 11 selections still ended up being tied for the most in the NFL this year with the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to the 11 guys the Vikings grabbed in the draft, they also just signed 11 undrafted free agents. After filling their roster with these 22 rookies, Minnesota now only has four open spots left before they reach the 90-man limit.

How will the Vikings choose to fill these openings on their roster before training camp begins in July? Most likely, Minnesota will turn to the free-agent market to see which veteran players might still be able to help them next season.

Currently, several former Vikings players are still available in free agency and looking for a job for the 2021 season. Of these former members of Minnesota’s roster that are still free agents, which ones won’t be making a return to the purple and gold this year?
