Which 2022 NFL Draft prospects should already be on the radar of the Minnesota Vikings?
Sure, the 2021 NFL Draft just came to an end, but that does not mean we can’t continue to get excited about the future of the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings filled the roster in this year’s draft and did a pretty good job of it in the process.
As always, though, there are still long-term questions surrounding the roster, and teams will never be completely filled out. That’s why we get to look forward to the future and look at some potential college stars who could make an impact for Minnesota in 2022.
The Vikings still need to find the solution opposite Danielle Hunter at defensive end, a future at safety, and even a long-term playmaker at cornerback. There are also questions surrounding Anthony Barr’s future with the team beyond 2021 or the depth behind Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson at wide receiver.
Luckily, there will be answers in next year’s draft as the class features a lot of star talent once again, a trend that has become more prominent than ever in recent years.
The rise of star athletes in the college ranks has transitioned into a lot of instant talent to the NFL. If Minnesota hopes to get a lot better next season (why wouldn’t they?), they will be primed to do so in yet another loaded draft class.
On paper, the 2022 NFL Draft class projects to be better than 2021 across the board except for quarterbacks, which shouldn’t be a problem for the Vikings. So which prospects should they already be salivating over?
