Minnesota Vikings: Way-too-early 53-man roster projection
By Adam Carlson
Offensive line (9)
- Garrett Bradbury
- Ezra Cleveland
- Mason Cole
- Christian Darrisaw
- Wyatt Davis
- Rashod Hill
- Kyle Hinton
- Brian O’Neill
- Oli Udoh
This unit was absolutely brutal last year. In particular, the interior of the offensive line was getting pushed around at an alarming rate and forcing Kirk Cousins to get rid of the ball much faster than he would prefer to.
The starting offensive line at first glance looks to be Christian Darrisaw, Wyatt Davis, Garrett Bradbury, Ezra Cleveland, and Brian O’Neill. Although that means there will likely be two rookies on this extremely inexperienced starting unit.
Minnesota did trade for Mason Cole, who will provide backup experience at guard and center. Meanwhile, Kyle Hinton deserves a shot after seeing the failure of Dru Samia. Like Cole, he can also step in at center if needed.
Rashod Hill can essentially be a backup at every position except center and came at a great value to Minnesota. Plus, Oli Udoh has yet to get a real fair shake to prove himself on the field, so cutting him at this point would seem like a mistake.
