Nickell Robey-Coleman

  • 2020 Team: Philadelphia Eagles

It’s a little surprising that Nickell Robey-Coleman is still without a team for the 2021 season. He had a down year in 2020, but he still has the talent to be one of the top slot cornerbacks in the NFL.

The downside about Robey-Coleman is that at his size (5-foot-8,180 pounds), he can’t really line up as an outside corner if needed. It’s basically the slot or nothing else for the veteran cornerback.

Due to this, the Vikings might be interested in adding a free-agent corner that has a little more versatility, especially since they’ll be looking to add depth. So someone who can line up in multiple spots is probably going to intrigue them more than a defensive back like Robey-Coleman.

Still, he could add some more veteran experience that Minnesota was severely lacking in their secondary last season. Plus, Robey-Coleman has already broken the hearts of New Orleans Saints fans in the past, so he would fit right in with the Vikings.
