Vikings at Chargers – Week 10

How many fans want to see the Vikings create problems for the Los Angeles Chargers after watching quarterback Justin Herbert beat out Justin Jefferson for the 2020 Offensive Rookie of the Year award last season? Seriously.

Stellar rookie performances by Herbert and Jefferson divided the fan bases when it came time to announce the top rookie. Both bases could simply be content with the fact they each landed a very promising talent. But what would be the fun in that? Now there will be a little animosity behind each of the SKOL chants and claps during the matchup.

Both teams made excellent upgrades to their offensive line this offseason, they each feature dynamic running backs, and they both boast premium talent at wide receiver. A shootout between Herbert and Kirk Cousins would produce interesting reactions and evaluations, especially if Cousins and the Vikings were to emerge victorious.

Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen, along with Jefferson, is guaranteed to put on a route-running clinic that’ll lead the highlight reels in the following days if both are in good physical condition.

Dalvin Cook and Austin Ekeler frequently make big plays as a receiver coming out of the backfield, so this one could shape up to be a high-flying offensive showdown at the mid-point of the season.
