Which Minnesota Vikings rookies could head into the 2021 season with unrealistic expectations?

It was a tremendous haul acquired from the 2021 NFL Draft for the Minnesota Vikings and one that could provide a significant boost to their short and long-term aspirations.

The upcoming 2021 campaign is a big one for the Vikings and one that could define the futures of head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman. So any additional assistance they can get straight away from their latest batch of rookies would be a bonus.

Minnesota looks to have a better roster now than they did when the 2020 season came to conclusion. Some obvious and necessary salary-cap sacrifices were made along the way, but with some established players also making a full return to health, a potential playoff return at the first time of asking is not out of the question.

It’s easy to get carried away where first-year players are concerned. People tend to get a little overhyped by YouTube videos and watching highlights from their performances at the college level, but the NFL is a completely different ball game.

Unless a truly elite talent falls into Minnesota’s laps, one can expect a period of adjustment more often than not. So who are a few Vikings rookies that might be heading into the 2021 season with unrealistic expectations?
