Dede Westbrook, wide receiver

If you’re a regular reader of this website, you will know that I have been a huge fan of bringing Dede Westbrook to the Minnesota Vikings. There are so many reasons for singing this wide receiver that it is a wonder he is still in free agency.

A 27-year-old talent like him shouldn’t have to wait to be signed. He’s never had enough talent around him to be adequately evaluated at the NFL level and despite a revolving door of terrible quarterbacking and questionable leadership, he has found ways to thrive.

His stats in 2018 and 2019 show that he can be very productive when his number is called, making him an interesting option to become the No. 3 option for Minnesota until another player can step up and take over that role.

1,720 yards and nine touchdowns in four years isn’t going to turn a lot of heads, but it should be enough to get Minnesota’s interest. With two studs already leading the way at wide receiver, the Vikings should to bring in more talent just in case the purple and gold have some depth problems this season.
