Two wide receivers on this list? Yes. And Minnesota should sign them both. It’s not that Chad Beebe and Bisi Johnson are bad players, but relying on rookie Ihmir Smith-Marsette to come in and play a role on offense is a bit optimistic, and having a familiar face could make things easier.

Jarius Wright seems open to returning to the Vikings and a discussion needs to happen in the front office about a reunion. Wright was a clutch third-down player for Minnesota and could immediately step in and take one of the roster spots if he can play at the level he did during his first four seasons in Minnesota.

The Vikings shouldn’t have to break the bank to acquire the services of Jarius Wright. In fact, he was only making $666K in 2020 with Carolina and it would be surprising if he was asking for much more than that for his services in 2021.

Even though things didn’t work out during his two seasons with the Panthers, he still was able to make some catches there and show that his gas tank is far from empty. It’s not as though Wright would be asked to do a lot in a Minnesota offense headlined by Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and Kirk Cousins, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be ready if his number is called.

Which players do you think the Minnesota Vikings would be wise to sign before the start of the team’s minicamp? And do you agree or disagree with these choices? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
